• New Solar Panels installed

• New, more eco-friendly heating system and boiler 

• New bat and owl-friendly outdoor lighting

• Improved recycling – New bins inside and outside and new procedures and practices

• Reduced and re-use single-use plastic wherever possible

• Wines from eco-friendly vineyards 

• Improved heating controls

• Reduced paper usage

• Menus created with sustainability, sourcing, carbon footprint and methods in mind 

• Grow our own fruit for our homemade pies

• Started wildlife improvements in the garden using no pesticides or herbicides

• New, more eco-friendly kitchen appliances – 2 fridges, 1 freezer, 3 fat fryers, 1 dishwasher, 2 microwaves

• Motion-sensor lighting now fitted in all places possible and lightbulbs replaced with LEDs

• Predominantly local and Welsh suppliers

• All staff completed Environmental Awareness training

• Grow many of our most-used herbs

• Cooking oil recycled and usage decreased

• Improved guest signage to encourage eco-stays
